Happy National Day

Today is Singapore's birthday and is also the first of the three holiday in the month of August.

Well, didn't do much today except meddling a bit with my marine tank, hit the gym and went for solo jamming to practice my drumming skills.

It iss a day of rest, much needed considering the kind of stress faced - emotional, physically and mental, almost on a daily basis. Have realized that i need to take care of my body more these days, am already out of the teenager phase a long time ago.

Work is stabilizing and i feel i can cope better. No longer having emotional highs and lows or worrying unnecessarily about the lack of deals coming in. God's grace is sufficient and I will continue to believe and live out this truth.

Watching the NDP parade on TV now and the mere sight of the tremendous crowds gathered in celebration of Singapore's achievement stirred up the emotional part of me. Singapore has come a long way isn't it. People may not agree with every political move made, but in the end its our identity that binds us together. My mind floats back to where I am as a Singaporean, my contribution and my significance. Right now, nothing much.

Deep down, I sense that the road ahead can be even more exciting for me if I am willing to embrace it. The vast opportunities available to make the best of this life and the limitless challenges i might face that will further shape me into a better person. To use my church vision - More like Jesus. Such a vision excites me :)
