Airshow 2010

It was my first airshow and I went on the last trade day. Ticket courtesy of a Uni friend who stay just 1 canal away from me. Haha, yes our block is just separated by a canal.

So I went there without any expectation so it was good. The air display time started while we were still queuing for our entry passes and only managed to catch some part of it. The display were rather distant and so the excitement level was not high. Moreover trying to catch them on camera is rather impossible due to their speed. Only managed to captured 1 or 2 shots which doesn't amount to much and doesn't showcase the display at all.

Other components of the airshow include the booths from the various aerospace companies showcasing their latest product ad technologies. I spotted Honeywell Aerospace booth. A pretty reasonable sized booth i must say. It certainly seems more happening than the business unit I am in. Haha. The other highlight got to be the static display where photo opportunities abound. But after the intial few aircrafts, it starts to get monotonous as the planes look pretty alike. Well unless you're in this industry, then everything will be distinct and unique. Like how my other friends were discussing the terminology and such. They have graduated and waiting for their turn to take to the sky. Future SIA pilots. How cool is that? Why didn't anyone inspire me to be a pilot when I was younger?

Honeywell big name!

Trying out the indoor simulator.
Later on, I was down at the static display plane cockpit. It is scarily complex.

Plane interior model. Comfort is the word.

Attempting a pro shot but didn't succeed.
