NYAA chapter 1 closure

Yesterday was down at SCS clementi for a lunch session with Theresa and the youths from NYAA. Up til now, some have achieved all the requirements for the NYAA Bronze award while others are still clocking the required hours, but definitely not too far off. Having gone through various activities with them, it's glad to see them hanging on to the challenges and come this far.

The first session

Journey started with name brain-storming

Community service at Kranji Resort

Working hand-in-hand

Having fun clearing field for rice planting =P

All in line ready for action

Southern Ridges Hike + Game

River Crossing game just b4 Henderson Wave

The GOAL at the end of river-crossing

The "last" session at SCS

Victory sign comes up naturally

Affirmation cards for Youth, volunteers and Social Worker =P

Up next, as the youth continue to pursue for the silver award, I definitely hope to be part of this exciting journey they will undertake. I believe such programs have far-reaching impact on the participants lives which the youth themselves may not know or experience now. Similarly, I believe Theresa, Mel, JJ and myself certainly learned much through this program and had fun going through all the activities with them.
